Delete Your Account
We're sorry to see you go! If you wish to delete your Playdate account, this page explains the process and what happens to your data.
How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account in two ways:
Option 1: Through the App
- Open the Playdate app
- Go to Settings
- Select "Account Settings"
- Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm your decision
Option 2: Contact Support
Email us at support@playdateuae.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and we'll process your request within 48 hours.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Your profile information (name, email, phone number)
- Profile picture and uploaded photos
- Sport preferences and skill level data
- Match history and participation records
- Messages and communications
- Saved locations and preferences
What We Retain
For legal and operational purposes, we may retain certain information:
- Transaction records for financial auditing (anonymized after 7 years)
- Reports and safety-related data for community protection
- Aggregated, anonymized analytics data
- Information required by law or for legal proceedings
Important Considerations
Before deleting your account, please note:
- Permanent Action: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
- Active Bookings: Cancel all active bookings before deletion
- Pending Payments: Ensure all payments are settled
- Grace Period: You have 30 days to recover your account after deletion request
- New Account: You can create a new account anytime with the same email after deletion
Data Portability
Before deleting your account, you can request a copy of your data. Email privacy@playdateuae.com to request your data export.
